The old FX Larkin closed its doors in 2013 and since has sat idle in Unanderra. Wollongong City Excavation & Demolition were tasked with bringing this old warehouse down to the ground to enable new things to take its place. Chris our 21 Tonne Sumitomo operator brought this old metal skeleton down very quickly within 2 days, without many real safety concerns due to the location the machine can dig into the building with confidence. This mostly steel structure was recycled through our waste disposal partners at Bingo. The time-consuming aspect of this job was the excavation of the concrete pit within the warehouse that was previously used by Truck mechanics for working under the trucks. The project was completed well within the timeframe, in under 7 days.

Site remediation from any contaminants
